The key to using a cue extender is proper connection, adjusting power, and maintaining shot stability, especially useful when the cue ball is far away or the body is unable to get close.

Remove the rubber end cap: Remove the rubber or metal end cap from the end of the cue, exposing the threaded interface.

Screw in the extender: Align the threaded end of the extender with the end cap of the cue and rotate clockwise until fully tightened, ensuring there is no looseness.

Check the connection stability: Gently shake the extender to confirm there is no wobbling or abnormal noise, preventing it from falling off during shot and affecting the feel.

Adjust your stance and grip: Due to the increased length of the cue, slightly shift your stance back to maintain balance. The forearm bridge can be widened appropriately for enhanced support.
